Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Unfold is a browser extension that helps you get an AI summary of the article you're reading. This policy explains what it reads, what it stores and what it shares.

  • Unfold has no server, no account and no analytics or tracking.
  • Unfold never sells your data and never uses it for advertising.
  • Page information leaves your browser only when you click an AI button, and only goes to the AI service you picked.

What Unfold reads

On pages that look like articles, Unfold reads the following in your browser:

Unfold doesn't read form fields, passwords, cookies, your browsing history or other tabs.

What Unfold shares, and with whom

When you click an AI button, Unfold opens that service in a new tab with a prompt about the page. The prompt contains the title, section, description and URL, and the article text if you turned that option on. That service's own privacy policy then applies:

Unfold doesn't send data to any other party, including its developer.

What Unfold stores

Removing the extension deletes all of this.
